WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

CertainTeed is seeking a Technical Services & Sales Representative with a strong focus on Commercial Roofing to provide a full range of field technical support within the southern region. This candidate will help CertainTeed build better customer understanding and use of our products, reduced liability, stronger customer relations, and the reinforcement of the company’s “expert” image in the market. The ideal candidate for this position requires an understanding of systems, installation methods, and industry standards within the Roofing sector.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with our Sales team to identify opportunities for business and customer growth by improving the field use of CertainTeed's CBI (Commercial Buildings & Infrastructure) portfolio of products and systems leveraging their technical expertise to drive sales.

 

Field Training & Application

  • Deliver product application training
  • Support and help implement contractor programs
  • Provide technical guidance to distribution field sales teams and contractors
  • Assist distribution partners and contractors with job estimates, roofing system specifications, and product quantities
  • Conduct research with customers, dealers, and applicators to identify needs and improve product offerings
  • Stay current on commercial roofing trends, codes, and industry best practices

Sales Support

  • Conduct solutions-based selling that leverages commercial Roofing expertise to drive revenue growth
  • Cross-leverage CBI's product portfolio by aligning technical support with customer needs

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • 2-4 Years of experience in Commercial Roofing. Prior experience with injection solutions, a plus.
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: field trials during product development, introduction of new products, troubleshooting field problems, and technical support activities.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information effectively to contractors, sales teams, and customers
  • Well organized with concern for details, accuracy and capable to following instructions, meet schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities. Proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 85%. Day & Overnight Travel in te U.S. & Canada. Company vehicle is provided.

However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $74,800 to $115,800.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

  • Health: Support the team in conducting assessments of workplace health risks and participate in the development of strategies to mitigate occupational health hazards, including the development of an industrial hygiene database.
  • Environment: Contribute to monitoring programs for environmental compliance, waste management, air and water quality. Assist in data collection and analysis to identify potential environmental impacts, including the development of an environmental permitting database.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Position Description
Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for the planning of work orders to support manufacturing operations and production schedule of the Aerospace production processes in the Bristol, RI site. He/She establishes strategic and vendor managed inventory levels to meet customer demand based on forecasts and historical data, and coordinates the procurement of all subcontracted (outsourced) items and manages vendor relationships as well as managing relationships with assigned customers. The position is a key role within our strategic plan for Supply Chain Management. The incumbent works closely with plant supervision and team members on replenishment strategies to meet customers’ requirements. Assists in the implementation, efficiency, and effectiveness of new and existing materials and components. Ensures production demands are met while maintaining a safe workplace for employees. Analyze sales forecasts and customer orders to adjust production plans accordingly. He/she identifies constraints and revises/updates schedules to meet the customer demand levels. He/she provides feedback to supervision on changes or events that effect the production environment. Strict adherence and a commitment to carrying out the Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for the organization, our customers and stakeholders.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management required. Masters Degree in Supply Chain preferred. 0-3 years' experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Scheduling with the understanding of manufacturing lead time, process, sub-contract operations and MRP/ERP knowledge required. 0-3 years' experience in Inventory Control and forecasting/planning preferred. Experience working in an IATF16949/ISO/AS9100 certified environment preferred. Ability to communicate both written and orally throughout all levels of the organization and with customers required. Experience in contract manufacturing operations preferred. Experience in planning for low volume/high mix environment preferred. Experience with shop floor reporting systems preferred. Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint required. In-depth knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferably QAD manufacturing system required. Team building and motivational skills along with strong decision-making and organizational skills required. Ability to influence and drive solutions required. Strong analytical aptitude and problem solving skills required. Must be results oriented, self-motivated, flexible, dynamic, and proactive required. APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred. Green belt preferred.

What’s the Job?

This position is responsible assisting in an industrial gypsum production environment through manual labor and use of machinery to move products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Performs all work according to safety standards and procedures

  • Normal plant operation is 24 hours, 7 days a week and work hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Shift work that may require long hours, and weekend and holiday work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazards or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated
  • Perform tasks that require extensive and rigorous walking, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, gripping, stair, and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, navigating rough terrain and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.

  • Lead, manage and direct the support activities of the Retail field team.
  • Ensure Field Team is conducting required number store visits per day depending upon territory size/geography, covering a multi-state region focused on big box home improvement retailers with a concentration of stores.

  • Foster relationship development and management at each store location with various store managers, departments and associates as required.

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Assembler I is responsible for multiple tasks in the manufacturing area. These tasks include prepping parts, assembling subcomponents, machines, and additional tasks as required. This position is essential to ensure machines are assembled in a manner that meets our quality standards and productivity requirements.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work in a safely and timely manner

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

This position is for the new, state-of-the-art fiber glass matting plant in Oxford, NC! This position is responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary. Trouble shoot machine break down and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Must adhere to all company safety policies and JSA’s while performing tasks and at all times when on the premises. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation and have acquired additional technical training, both classroom and practical that will further enhance abilities that will meet individual and company needs.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • Inspect non-operational equipment for component wear.
  • Replace non-operational components of equipment that are hindering the equipment from operating efficiently.
  • Fabricate and rebuild the components to be used on the equipment in the plant
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems throughout the process
  • Read and interpret blueprint and layout instructions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and adequate skills to understand various plant processes.
  • Perform welding and burning functions in a safe and efficient manner.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES):

High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience and successfully pass a skills test, that is intended to determine mechanical skills and knowledge, basic electrical, A/C and 3 phase circuits, general welding, cutting, hydraulic, pneumatics and instrumentation knowledge and skills. Basic operating knowledge and understanding of computer systems.

Job Summary

PLC Reliability Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with requirements surrounding plant maintenance activities.
  • Be on call in a rotation with the other day shift electricians.
  • Testing electrical systems and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Rebuild components to be used on the equipment in the plant along with reading and interpreting blueprints and layout instructions and having knowledge/understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory. Must be able to read and understand blueprints schematics and wire control panels.
  • Must be able to write and/or modify PLC programs.
  • Will assist line mechanics and electricians as necessary when needed to support production including all of the above listed tasks and other means of support as needed.
  • Will participate in training to continue to enhance PLC skills
  • Follow all safety precautions while performing tasks at all times
  • All areas are to be clean and clear of any debris before/after maintenance days and holidays. 

Environmental and Health Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures
  • Promote a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment
  • Report all EHS incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage
