Job Goals:

A lead position performing material handling, picking, packing, shipping/receiving and Service Center duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs delivery and pickup of materials for production work centers per schedule using material handling equipment.
  • Prepares freight for shipment by palletizing, banding, boxing, and stretch wrapping as required.
  • Break down packaging and put away incoming raw material rolls.
  • Maintains warehouse cleanliness and operates compacting equipment.
  • Coordinates with Shipping Clerk & Service Center on daily shipping requirements.
  • Carry out cycle counts as directed.
  • Attends planning meetings as needed and reports on productivity and operational issues.
  • Works with the Logistics & Converting Manager to ensure appropriate use of employees for daily tasks.
  • Provides work instructions and guidance to staff.
  • Assumes duties of Shipping Clerk in absence as needed, this includes domestic and international shipment paperwork and scheduling with carriers.
  • Assumes duties of Receiving Clerk in absence as needed, this includes receiving all inventory items, maintaining receiving paperwork and directing incoming traffic.
  • Responds to Customer Service regarding Warehouse and Service Center issues.
  • Follows established department policies, procedures, continues quality improvement objectives, warehouse safety procedures and industrial truck safety guidelines.
  • Assists in training, coaching & recertifying of qualified operators on Power Industrial Trucks.

Non-Essential Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Performs other duties as required and necessary.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Shipping/Receiving logistics lead role.
  • 3 years shipping/receiving experience with FedEx, UPS and international carriers.
  • Prior forklift experience.
  • SAP data entry experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Strong reading, writing and math abilities.
  • Ability to communicate in clear, articulate and professional manner.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Has a team-player mentality and is customer service focused.

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus.  The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.  The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $50,336 to $73,216.  Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Automation Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The IPG Automation Engineer will support the development and implementation of electrical and controls projects, provide automation and maintenance support to the plants, and implement process controls in a manner consistent with CertainTeed IPG principles in our twenty-seven (27) manufacturing and five (5) mining facilities across the United States (US). This position will support the implementation of strategic initiatives and capital projects related to process, automation, and power/electrical. The IPG Automation Engineer will be accountable for the execution of improvement -focused projects, and training of staff for multiple sites that include Ceilings, Insulation, Plasterboard, Finishing and Mining operations. This position will also implement process controls tools and assist in using those tools to ensure that processes are in control and process variations are reduced.

  • Develop/Install/Commission Plant Controls & Automation Systems, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, MES Data Collection and IIOT networks. Design and execute retro fit projects involving AC drives, servo drives, HMI and PLC modifications in accordance with Corporate modernization plan.
  • Support Rebuild and Plant Expansion projects which requires extended time away.
  • Direct contractors, third-party controls engineering partners and suppliers.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, monitor and provide status for all assigned projects.
  • Perform all aspects of project management and design engineering for those projects.
  • Develop Scopes of Work and estimates for potential projects.
  • Monitor compliance in all areas, maintain quality control in every area (budget, scheduling, planning, expediting, receiving, AR/AP) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • “Hands-On” problem solver capable of providing on-site and remote support to multiple plants to solve complex automation related issues and any difficult troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with the plant Production and Engineering Managers to coordinate changes in the production process and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Develop/Enforce Process Controls Standards, Design/Specify Controls System architectures.
  • Support process engineers in process optimization tasks, problems analysis, solution development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Leads and participates in Focus Improvement teams to resolve critical process and production problems with customers and vendors.
  • Travel minimum 50%

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required (Electrical Engineering is preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years working within a Controls & Automation Engineering role in continuous process manufacturing plants, or similar
  • Programming of Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC-5, SLC-500, ControlLogix) is required. Modicon is a plus.
  • HMI Development is required, preferably within Ignition, WinCC, iFix or Wonderware platforms.
  • Familiarity with National Electric Code NEC, Arc Flash (NFPA-70), Combustion Safety (NFPA-86)
  • Familiarity with industrial networking is required (TCP/IP, Modbus, ModbusTCP, IOLink, DH+, HART)
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming is required (Add-On Instructions, User Defined Tags)
  • Familiarity with Design/Specification of Process Control Panels is required (NFPA-79, UL508A)
  • Familiarity with standard instrumentation is required (flowmeters, pressure transmitters, temperature measurements, proximity and limit switches, level sensors, encoders, linear and I/P transducers)
  • Experience with medium and low voltage electrical distribution and Motor Control Center (MCC)
  • Good experience with motor controls equipment (VFD, DOL, Soft Start, Electronic Overload)
  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD drafting tools to create and modify drawings is required.
  • Experience with MES platform is preferred
  • Experience with SQL Databases is preferred
  • Familiarity with Project Management Practices is preferred

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 to $155,120.

Job Summary

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set Up extrusion machines by installing dyes, machine screws, and sizing rings to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate extrusion machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System to update job data, material usage, locate process sheets, view prints, etc.
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.
  • Set Up and Operate the cutter to cut tubing to specified dimensions.
  • Label and Seal Bags
  • Operate the auto winder removing spools f completed product and setting up the next spool to ensure proper operations of the auto winder
  • Set up the printer to properly label tubing per specifications
  • Suggest work instruction corrections/recommendations to help foster an environment of continuous improvement 
  • Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

Must be able to properly fill out time reporting and work order documentation. Operational knowledge of injection molding machines is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Operate compounding machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards. Set up compounding equipment to produce parts to specification.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Make batches of resins using detailed formulations and mix sheets, this would also include preblending of materials.
  • Accurately fills ribbon blender/drum tumbler with ingredients and amounts indicated on preblend formulation sheets.
  • Perform start-up and shutdown, and maintenance of 40mm/60mm compounder line, Banbury Ribbon Blender, and Water System.
  • Weigh, package and label finished product according to work order specifications
  • Perform production maintenance on compounder, pellitizer, dryer, and water system.
  • Disassemble compounder for screen changes and screen cleaning.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Operate and maintain associated equipment as required for production of compound.
  • Sample compound and mold ASTM slabs for each work order as specified.
  • Inspect the product for visual defects and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • Enter data in CMPC Program.
  • Assist in training other employees performing similar tasks on the proper techniques and procedures in order to produce defect free parts.
  • Communicate with the other shifts, if applicable, the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that night have an impact on their job.

Job Summary
QA Inspectors compare in process and finished goods to established specifications; reports variance to Coordinator.

Essential Functions:

  • Compare first piece produced on equipment set-up for conformance to specification.
  • Write detailed inspection report in compliance with GMP standard on parts, products and processes that fail inspection; investigates scope of the failure and forward report to Coordinator for disposition.
  • Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of complex parts to blueprint and specification.
  • Compare measurements, form, fit, function and value judgments of simple and complex parts to blueprint, specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience and knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • Utilize statistical process control where applicable.
  • Assist in orientation of new technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring proper calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper levelof supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion This includes reordering task
  • Carry out formulated plans, policies and procedures of the department per GMP regulations
  • Communicate with employee's any instructions or requirements as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager
  • Must be available for shift work, when necessary
  • Be willing to participate in training that may be conducted off-site
  • Report safety hazards observed to EHS Coordinator
  • Perform stock audits and other related duties as may be required

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Education Level
Qualifications:
⦁ High School Diploma or equivalent—Required
⦁ Quality Inspection experience (2 to 4 years)—Preferred
⦁ Ability to follow/interpret verbal, written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form instructions
⦁ Ability to read reports and generate reports on productivity and efficiency

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and control of systems & practices which monitor, assess, and approve the quality of materials and products at all stages of production.   • Satisfy customer requests and complete the associated documentation
  • Management of Equipment Calibration for measuring, inspection and process equipment
  • Implementation/oversight of quality assurance laboratory and review/approval of QA testing and QA product release
  • Support any facility expansions, software validations, equipment qualifications and / or process validations required to support existing / new processes.

Mobilize and direct people inside and outside the value stream, including suppliers, to implement necessary changes. Demonstrate effective use of value stream mapping techniques.
  • Inventory Management Oversight: Oversee inventory procedures, including cycle count execution. Research and analyze performance trends and their implications on future operations, including inventory levels and replenishment strategies. Develop and implement a robust inventory control system.

Site Controller - Manufacturing - Life Sciences

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial policies, ICRF controls, and supporting continuous improvement of internal business processes in line with the Life Sciences growth and profitability model. The Site Controller provides financial analysis and strategic recommendations to ensure alignment with business objectives, while partnering in the decision-making process. This includes identifying corrective actions, enforcing accountability, and promoting financial responsibility across the organization.

This position leads the site’s annual reforecasting, budgeting, and planning processes, offering clear and accurate explanations for significant variances and conducting thorough analysis of actuals versus budget or forecast. While ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting and financial close activities, the role also emphasizes forward-looking planning to support profitable growth.

The Site Controller oversees the monthly close process to meet HPS/LS deadlines and is responsible for preparing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations as required. Accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet, including working capital and fixed asset changes, are key focus areas. This role also leads the annual standard cost development process to ensure transparency in product costs and margins, while adhering to ICRF, IFRS, HPS/LS policies, and sound accounting practices.

As an operational leader, the Site Controller drives site-wide cost and waste reduction efforts, facilitates loss identification, and participates on the site’s steering committee to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions include:

  • Manage month-end close activities in QAD, including DSS inputs, reconciliations, and uploads to Blackline. Coordinate and prepare internal financial reporting (e.g., Monthly GM report—operational analysis of scrap, labor, and overhead variances; monthly presentations—trends, risks & opportunities; weekly flash reports; mid-month pulse checks).

  • Lead annual ICRF gap analysis; ensure execution of action plans and adherence to internal controls, including segregation of duties and system/access controls. Evaluate site-level internal controls (reviewing HPS/LS policies, purchasing authorities, etc.) for alignment with internal control standards and the 6 Essentials. Assess and improve accounting processes by recommending and implementing innovative solutions.

  • Support LS & Operations Controller with ad hoc requests, annual planning, budgeting, and standard cost development. Collaborate with supervisors, plant leadership, and senior management to ensure a clear and accurate picture of the plant’s financial performance. Anticipate issues and proactively provide insights and answers. Act as an advisor, mentor, and business partner to both the site and the Life Sciences division.

  • Support CI/WCM initiatives by participating in Kaizens and problem-solving events. Ensure projects have defined financial objectives, with results tracked and reported. Co-manage the capital process alongside project managers, providing guidance on MADISONS, CARs, and capital planning. Develop forward-looking financial models, including "what-if" scenarios, cost/benefit analyses, and margin impact evaluations (e.g., make vs. buy) to enhance decision-making.

  • Coordinate the physical inventory and cycle count program to meet site and SBU goals. Ensure annual physical and fixed asset counts are conducted in compliance with established policies and procedures.
