En utilisant les principes de fabrication de classe mondiale (WCM), ce poste ciblera la formulation des produits, le développement et l’optimisation des procédés, la conception et l’optimisation d’équipement, l’ingénierie générale des projets ainsi que la planification et l’exécution d’essais.

Voici une occasion unique d’acquérir de l’expérience et de contribuer à l’ingénierie des procédés, l’ingénierie des projets et les projets techniques. Ces expériences permettront à l’ingénieur(e) de procédés de contribuer efficacement à concevoir et à optimiser l’équipement des procédés en connaissant ce qui est requis pour ceux-ci tout en comprenant les lacunes des procédés et de l’équipement.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Participer aux équipes de projets WCM qui analysent les variations dans les procédés et l’identification des pertes;
  • Concevoir des solutions et mettre en place des mesures correctives en utilisant des outils statistiques avancés en déterminant et en résolvant les causes fondamentales des variations des procédés;
  • Concevoir et développer de nouveaux systèmes de procédés, réviser des procédés existants ainsi que développer et coordonner des projets qui contribuent substantiellement à la rentabilité de l’usine.
  • Participer à des essais et en exécuter afin d’évaluer les occasions liées à l’équipement, aux procédés et aux matières premières.
  • Analyser les problèmes d’opération, développer des solutions et mettre en œuvre des mesures correctives.
  • Diriger des projets importants, comme ceux de conception, de mise en service et de lancement.

RESPONSABILITÉ FISCALE

Préparer des évaluations des coûts en capital pour les dépenses qui appuient nos objectifs et contrôler possiblement des aspects des dépenses au sein du budget approuvé.

Les requis

  • Baccalauréat en génie industriel, en génie électrique, en génie mécanique ou dans une discipline similaire;
  • De trois (3) à cinq (5) années d’expérience afin de posséder une compréhension approfondie des pratiques, des procédures et des régulations associées à la technologie de contrôle des procédés;
  • Connaissance dans le milieu de la pétrochimie;
  • Avoir la connaissance et l’expérience sur l’utilisation des pompes à déplacement positif, des échangeurs de chaleur et les équipements permettant de chauffer de la tuyauterie industrielle par l’utilisation d’huile thermique ou de la vapeur sous pression;
  •  Avoir travaillé avec de l’asphalte liquide (atout);
  • Excellentes capacités de résolution de problème et capacité à travailler de façon indépendante sur les tâches assignées;
  • Flexible, ouvert d’esprit et bonne communication orale et écrite;
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office;
  • Connaissance de l’amélioration continue ou Kaizen;
  • Expérience préalable avec AutoCAD.
  • Le bilinguisme (Français & Anglais) est requis; considérant que le poste requiert de communiquer avec des fournisseurs et partenaires au niveau nationale.

Controls Engineer
Position Description
Job Summary

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Controls Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions for plant operations, quality, processing and logistics teams; managing projects, ensuring safe operations for employees and contractors.  This position is the plant’s support person for automation, sensors, PLC’s, HMI’s, drives, servos, historian and industrial networks – ProfiBus and Ethernet I/P.

Possess the skills knowledge and abilities to program PLC’s (primarily Allen Bradley). The Controls Engineer diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Controls Engineer will be on call for one week every 5-6 weeks.  Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

  • Areas of responsibility include the design or development of new process control systems or revision of existing processes; using data collection tools including MES and WonderWare Historian to identify projects which contribute to plant profitability; assist with preparing programs for industrial control systems
  • External contacts include consultants and suppliers to determine the compatibility of other systems, products and personnel as they may apply to industrial control systems.
  • Prepares data sheets, diagrams and flow charts needed for the correct and efficient operation of the plant equipment.
  • Develops and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Uses PLC / Controls tools to reduce process variations.
  • Analyzes operating problems, develops solutions and leads with implementation of corrective action.
  • Receives and collects, interprets and extrapolates data from the production process to monitor current performances against established baselines.
  • Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and program PLC’s, drives and operator interfaces – Allen Bradley, WonderWare, CTI and Siemens drives.

  • Four-year technical degree preferred or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • 5 or more years of progressive designing and commissioning control systems.

  • Project management experience.

What’s the job?

Maintenance Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the operations of Athens Maintenance Electrical Technicians and Apprentices. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and technical support to the maintenance department covering installations, maintenance, and repairs of all electrical systems. They will ensure safety standards and compliance codes are met, and oversee the training and scheduling of the Electrical Technicians.

The Electrical Supervisor will have past experience in the field of electronics and possess a wide technical knowledge. In this role, the Supervisor will:

  • Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding OSHA requirements, and other safety standards.
  • Will actively engage and support electrical technicians to build: solid teamwork ethics, improve morale, knowledge and skills of all assigned technicians.
  • Direct and support the Maintenance Electrical Technicians and all other Maintenance employees when their direct supervisor or management resources are not present.
  • Oversees the performance of all tasks necessary to troubleshoot, test, calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify or install electrical equipment components buildings and/or land improvements, including; laying out, setting up or assembling work for Direct Reports.
  • Support team and oversee inspections related to equipment damage or defect, diagnosing the corrective action necessary to rectify the malfunction, failure or damage (troubleshooting).
  • Observes the operation of maintenance or production equipment in the course of performing the aforementioned tasks to obtain maximum manufacturing efficiency with minimum downtime for maintenance or repair.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Strong commitment to safety of others and compliance to organizational safety initiatives and policies.
  • Qualified electrician with five years’ or more experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment (continuous manufacturing preferred)
  • Associates Degree or 7 years’ of equivalent experience in the electrical or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a direct supervisor is required. Working in a union environment is preferred.
  • Computer systems proficiency in Microsoft applications (Office, Excel, Word, etc).
  • SAP and Kronos system experience is strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed with a strong work ethic and mature decision making abilities requiring minimal supervision or instruction.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), professional and interpersonal competences essential to build and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated time-management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills, working effectively with individuals in various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve safety and productivity goals.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools, or World Class Manufacturing, for business process improvement.

What’s the job?

  • Perform PM’s and input work requests using the current computerized maintenance systems that are associated with the general plant and production lines.

The person in this role will oversee internal competencies and lab testing methods development.   • Partner with plant management to increase plant efficiency and profitability - identify issues and proactively initiate analyses / solutions quickly and accurately, keeping in mind the requirements from GAAP. Meet the needs of a complex, diverse, dynamic and fast paced organization that will pose a wide variety of challenges from a manufacturing level.
  • Manage the timely completion of the month-end financial close for the roofing and granule plant, demonstrating awareness of all elements of a plant’s financial statements.
  • Support and manage the Plant Cost Analyst - working together to better improve processes, undertaking accounting activities, as well as business partnering with the whole Plant team to provide timely and accurate data to support business decisions
  • Prepare analysis to understand the financial ramifications of current and proposed business actions
  • Ensure compliance with SGC and EPG policies and procedures
  • Prepare and coordinate the annual budget at the plant level, oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory and assist in preparation of capital appropriations requests
  • Project work based on company objectives & supporting / challenging Six Sigma activities with special focus on the financial analysis, and cost reduction projects
  • Financial training for non-financial stakeholders - ability to effectively develop people and transfer knowledge down into, and across, the financial and manufacturing organizations
  • Attendance in the Plant every day, minimum of Four (4) days per week

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
