The NA SSC Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing the North America Finance SSC business processes and driving continuous improvement across the NA SSC organization.  In this role, the Sr CI Analyst will be responsible to analyze existing processes and data, identify inefficiencies and evaluate potential improvements along with measurable outcomes.  This role supports the Director of CI in the selection, justification and advocacy for process improvement investments specifically tailored to the productivity gains of the NA SSC activities for On-Shore and Off-Shore organizations.  Your work will directly impact the success of our organization by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Lead and manage improvement projects using proven project management skills, collaborating with onshore Continuous Improvement Counterparts in the SSC and Businesses as well as offshore service delivery partners to improve operational performance of the North America Shared Service Department.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions, working with cross functional teams including other onshore, shared service departments, function experts from the businesses we serve and offshore partner.
  • Create formal proposals for continuous improvement projects to key levels of management to secure approval of the projects as well as project updates including project completions status, risks and mediation plans.
  • Establish clear and well-articulated implementation plans, highlighting clear objectives, defined outcome indicators, and performance measure indicators.
  • Identify available resources (for example, people, material, and finances) and secure employee commitment (ex: process managers) for proactive change management.
  • Collaborate with leadership & cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain measurement tool(s) to monitor performance and improvements in key metrics.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • A BS in Business Administration and 7 to 12 years of CI experience in a large complex international business accompanied by project management experience is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have shown demonstrated passion and proven experience in process improvement or a similar role; supporting financial accounting areas such as general accounting, accounts payable, or cash application, etc.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, PMP) a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (preferred).
  • Demonstrated project management, analytical & problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated client service orientation with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams including outsourced team members, across company, geography, time zone, and culture.
  • The Sr. CI analyst role is a hybrid position (mix of in-office and work from home) and could require some travel (less than 15%).

Business Unit Controller

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Controller to join our team. In this role, you will support our strategic goals by partnering with operational businesses to make impactful decisions.   • Project management of Board Intelligence Management and it’s rollout across SG ADFORS North America.
  • Manage day-to-day operational needs of the department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, and payroll processes.
  • Engage in key Capex decisions and support the decision-making process through business insights and payback calculations.
  • Provide financial insights on pricing decisions considering all commercial and costing factors.
  • Act as SAP FI Super User for all BU-related activities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with audit-related activities.
  • Manage and develop a finance team using TEC (Trust, Empowerment, & Collaboration) principles and implement development and succession plans.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of work-related skill and experience in Accounting and/or Finance is required, experience in a manufacturing organization is desirable. SAP system knowledge is required for this position as well as product cost modeling experience. Varied experience in financial, operations, systems, and cost management, as well as supervisory experience at a professional level is very desirable. Knowledge of International Accounting Standards is also a plus. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license for business travel up to 25% of the time.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $111,000 to $177,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

 

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15% of base salary based on individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $127,600-TTC to $203,500-TTC. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic will support the Norwood, MA CertainTeed production line, manufacturer of asphalt roofing shingles. The Take Off Operator in our Seattle, Washington plant is primarily responsible to use machines according to safety standards in the area of the production line that stacks, tapes, and bundles gypsum wallboard board together for outbound shipments to customers. The successful candidate will also be responsible to add spacers (known as sluetters) between stacks of bundled wallboard, performing timely quality inspections on a regular schedule using an internal computer and written system(s), ensuring the accuracy of production count, and transporting the bundled gypsum wallboard to the correct area of the warehouse using a forklift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Champions a safety-first environment and keeps up to date on new safety policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Performs quality checks per the quality control plan and escalates issues to Line Production Lead if required
  • Safely operates bundler and stacker machines and tools to produce wallboard according to quality and specification standards
  • Properly adds 8 lbs. sluetters between bundled wallboard for each load according to standards and places sluetters in the warehouse for load placement. Re-supplies sluetters at takeoff using a fork truck
  • Adheres to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to help address mechanical issues or upset conditions
  • Performs daily fork truck inspection and refuel as needed
  • Places wallboard loads in warehouse properly with forklift adhering to all safety rules and traffic guidelines
  • Clear rejected wallboard from the reject stacker with forklift
  • Maintains an accurate wallboard count making sure every wallboard is of good quality, ensure culled boards are accounted for according to systems and procedures
  • Assists with troubleshooting responses to problems or breakdowns in the Take Off area and on the lines as required
  • Adheres to all housekeeping standards and ensures workspace is clean, safe, and in working order within assigned area(s)
  • Maintains in-depth and ongoing knowledge of assigned equipment, work area(s), procedural and safety updates

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for Quarterly Goal Sharing. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 5-6% based eligible pay on company performance metrics per CBA. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company performance and is not a guarantee.

Production Operator III, Finishing Specialist

  • Strategic Campaign Planning: Lead the planning, development and implementation of safety awareness campaigns for employees, including impactful local communication toolkits and 12-month editorial calendar of content and activities designed to further embed our culture of safety in the hearts and minds of all North America employees. Plan, develop and implement safety awareness campaigns for employees including impactful local event guidance, engagement activities and communication toolkits.
  • Creative Storytelling: Partners with external agencies and internal teams to conceptualize and launch an emotionally driven, human-centric internal campaign and storytelling strategy that will highlight our safety culture with memorable impact.
  • Content Creation: Develops and manages an editorial calendar to reach and engage employees with and without a company device. Lead external agencies and partner with internal colleagues for the creation of high-quality internal safety communications content, including strategic campaigns, employee stories, emails, newsletter articles, videos, presentations, mobile app content, digital displays, manufacturing site toolkits and intranet updates. 
  • Branding and Messaging: Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and quality across all external safety-related internal communications. This includes Saint-Gobain corporate brand and internal EHS branded programs and platforms, working in partnership with EHS colleagues.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives to promote and strengthen employee engagement in Saint-Gobain’s safety culture, including employee safety events, recognition programs, internal events, town halls, and other feedback mechanisms. 
  • Collaboration and Integration: Manages an internal advisory team of EHS, plant operations, HR, and Communications leaders to ensure alignment and integration of safety communication campaigns and priorities.
