Injection/Rubber Mold Technician - 2nd Shift(Monday - Thursday, 4:30pm - 3:00am) - Omniseal - Garden Grove, CA - $22.00 to $30.00 per hour

The Injection/Rubber Mold Technician sets up all required molds and makes all required adjustments to the LIM machine to conform to drawing speciation and document actual dimensions per quality procedures. Runs production safely and consistently. Deburrs and bags production in accordance with the router steps and stamps off operations before moving to the next operation, makes the correspondent labor operations in MRP. Work with manual molds is required when there is no LIM mold, mixes material to work the different processes like bonding, injection, rubber mold.

Maintains 5s workspace before, during, and after each scheduled shift.

2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 4:30pm - 3:00am)

  • Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions or standard charts to determine specification procedures.
  • Set up LIM and Manual molds to produce parts.
  • Select suitable tools and cutters to perform the required operations.
  • Use appropriate measuring equipment (such as micrometers, vernier, height gauges, bore gauges etc.) to ensure that all components produced meet customer specifications.
  • Clean and deburr parts manually and using cryogenic process.
  • Bond parts and mix the necessary bonding materials.
  • Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, without rejection, in a fast paced work environment.
  • Meet ongoing production quotas while working within very close tolerances in a machine-shop production environment.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement processes and projects in the areas of output, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.
  • Follow Saint-Gobain principles of conduct and action, and exemplify the Saint-Gobain Attitudes.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • HS Diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Minimum 1+ years previous work experience as a Mold Technician with understanding of injection moldings machines.
  • Experience handling large, heavy parts as well as small components.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written materials including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.

This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $51,600 to $69,900. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]

Human Resources Compliance Specialist

The HR Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the department in all aspects of HR compliance ensuring the company adheres to all relevant labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.   • Responsible for assigning 170+ separate reverification events per year, to the relevant individuals and ensuring they are completed

 

Compliance Programs:
Support with the day-to-day management of the Compliance programs including but not limited to:

  • Outsourced Background Check program
  • Outsourced Employee-Verification program
  • Outsourced Unemployment-Compensation program
  • Outsourced Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) and New Hire Compliance programs.
  • Outsourced EEO and California Pay data reporting programs for NA

 

HR Education and Training:

  • Support in the delivery of training programs on compliance related topics including I-9
  • Train managers and employees on new or updated policies and procedures

 

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Support with the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of all HR compliance activities
  • Support with the preparation of regular reports to senior management on compliance status, risks, and outcomes
  • Ensure documentation meets legal standards and is readily accessible for audits or inspections

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is preferred

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. They will collect production data and apply standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.

This person will establish procedures, supports new product launches, verify processes, troubleshoots, and assists production areas, ensuring production feasibility, implementing manufacturing strategies, and investigate root causes that can make high impact on main KPI’S.

  • Daily communication with multiple stakeholder groups to provide expert guidance on processes driving process improvement through teamwork and collaboration.
    • Process revalidation to reduce cycle and set up time times to the lowest time possible without sacrificing part quality.
    • Assists in training supervisors, leads, operators and maintenance staff in the safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling.
    • Coordinate and train operators to improve OEE, and 5S.

  • Troubleshoots and prevents safety and quality issues, improve efficiency, including reviewing new & existing tools, equipment, and production methods with tooling technicians.
    • Interact with production supervisor(s) for scheduling and troubleshooting requirements.
    • Provides process direction & training to operators.
    • Lead cross functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement appropriate corrective actions, and track and validate effectiveness.
  • Explore, investigate, and implement the processes, production methods and equipment of the future with a strong inclination to Industry 4.0. This includes:
    • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, daring to take our processes beyond what we currently know.
    • Create and be able to pitch business cases for CAPEX requests.
    • Implement new processes and equipment from A to Z, including documentation of machine parameters and operator work instructions, and purchasing peripheral equipment.
    • Develop and assist in the process and product monitoring, including validation with internal and external customers.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required)
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering is (preferred)
  • 4+ years Progressive engineering experience (required)
  • 3+ years Machining/Toolroom experience (preferred)
  • Six signa green belt (preferred)

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,450 to $135,740. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

  • Experience with TPM, WCM, Lean manufacturing, and 5S is an asset.

You will have the opportunity to make an impact in an Engineering department at the center of a complex insulation manufacturing site. This role will assist in a variety of projects and will have exposure to the core engineering processes of the business, including product process improvement, manufacturing planning, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.

The role will also include exposure to insulation manufacturing processes including preparation of molten glass, fiberizing wool fiberglass matt, curing the binder-coated fiberglass matt and packaging operations. This position will work in a cross-functional “Think Tank” team environment to include engineering and maintenance skills.

  • Work with and participate in engineering activities related to manufacturing projects including continuous improvement and process efficiency.
  • Provide engineering services for more complex problems under direct guidance of higher-level engineering personnel.
  • Take an active part in the execution of development projects, and assist Sr. Engineers with technical initiatives, analysis, and recommendations.

Rate of Pay:  $24 per hour.

Timing and Work Schedule:  June 1st through mid-August 40 hours per week

QC Slitting Operator - 1st Shift

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

QC Slitting Operator – 1st Shift (Mon - Fri 6:30 am - 3:00 pm) - San Diego, CA

 

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Efficiently performs set-up, running, and monitoring of any of the Slitting machines. Personnel will assist in the training and supervision of new operator trainees. Ensures that the machines are running on their shifts, are producing a quality product in an efficient manner. Assist in the packaging and moving of materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines.
  2. Exercises strong working knowledge about the defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film’s quality and usability.
  3. Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision.
  4. Assists in the packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film.
  5. Assists in the training and supervision of less experienced operators.
  6. May occasionally performs lead operator responsibilities when lead operator is not available.
  7. Properly and thoroughly informs the relieving shift and department superiors about machine and production status, material processes, department or job needs and priorities, and problems of observations.
  8. Strictly follows standard operating procedures, set-up specifications, supervisor’s instructions, safety regulations and housekeeping policies. Follows procedures for any deviation to the above.
  9. Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisors concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards.
  10. Ensures, indirectly, that all phases of the Slitting operation are performed in an efficient manner.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Informs Lead Operator of any parts or supplies needed and follow-up on request if items are not supplied in a timely manner to ensure that request was passed on.
  2. Performs finished pallet sign-off and rework activity (when directed).
  3. Suggests updates to procedures and policies on a regular basis.
  4. Communicates with lead, plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues.
  5. Regularly monitors self-productivity and reports limitations to lead of department supervisor.
  6. Participates in continuous improvement and safety observations

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
