Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s largest building materials companies, today announced the appointment of Lauren Petit to Senior Manager, Philanthropy, Community Engagement and Crisis Communications for the North American Delegation.
Lauren brings a wealth of experience to the role, having most recently served as Manager of Communications and Community Relations for the North American Abrasives business in Worcester, Mass. In her new role, Lauren will be responsible for crisis communications and community relations for the North American region, including programs related to the Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation. Lauren will continue to reside in Worcester and remain involved in key issues related to the Worcester site.

In this new role, Lauren has the unique opportunity to take her knowledge, passion and commitment to a much broader audience across North America to ensure Saint-Gobain continues to be the reference in sustainable buildings, corporate/nonprofit partnerships and employee engagement.”
Lauren holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Mount Wachusett Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master’s degree in Organizational and Professional Communication from Regis College. She was named to the Worcester Business Journal “40 Under Forty” class of 2014, which recognizes the top up-and-coming business leaders in central Massachusetts. She is also a member of the board and chair of the Centennial Celebration for Girls Inc. of Worcester and is actively involved with the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts and the YMCA of Central Massachusetts.
